Your Privacy, And How We Protect Information About Your American Bank Account:
At American Bank, we believe that the confidentiality, protection, and integrity of customer information are among our fundamental responsibilities. While information is critical to providing quality service, we recognize that one of our most important assets is our customers’ trust. Information That We May Collect
We may collect "nonpublic personal information" about you from the following sources:

l Medical information we receive from you, if you request credit insurance;
l Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others; and
l Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.

"Nonpublic personal information" is information about you that we obtain in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. Nonpublic personal information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records.

  1. Nonaffiliated Third Parties: We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to nonaffiliated third parties, except as permitted by law.

  2. Outside or Joint Marketing: Federal law allows us to disclose information to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we may have joint marketing agreements. The companies we choose must satisfy our security and privacy requirements. We share your information with these companies only if they agree to treat it confidentially. We provide the minimum amount of information necessary for them to provide their services. Information disclosed may include:

    • Information about transactions with us, our affiliates or others, such as your payment history; and

    • Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies, such as your credit worthiness or payment history.

Affiliates: We are permitted under law to share information about our experiences or transactions with you or your account (such as your account balance or your payment history) with our family of companies, or "affiliates" (i.e., companies related to us by common control or ownership). These companies may include mortgage bankers, title companies, securities broker-dealers, insurance providers and other financial service providers.

  4. Former Customers: If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices described in this notice.

How We Maintain Accurate Information:
We have established procedures to maintain complete and accurate information about you and your accounts. Also, we continually strive to respond in a timely manner to your request to change or correct information.

How We Limit Employee Access To Information:
We hold our employees to the highest standards of conduct in an effort to ensure confidentiality of your information, while at the same time providing you with quality products and services. We limit employee access to your information to those with legitimate business reasons for knowing such information. We train our employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy.

How We Safeguard Your Information:
We maintain appropriate security procedures that comply with Federal standards to protect your personal and account information from anticipated threats and hazards, and unauthorized access.

How We Maintain Your Privacy In Business Relationships With Third Parties:
When we conduct business with third parties where disclosing your information may be necessary, we require such parties to maintain similar standards of conduct regarding your privacy.
