Secure Email - Additional Information
 
With security issues at the forefront, American Bank has implemented ZixCorp secure email solutions to protect our email communications, ensuring all personally identifiable financial information remains confidential.

Secure Email ensures against card fraud and consumer identity theft. It is also an effective way to conduct financial business.

To protect consumer data and comply with improved best practice standards, all email communication you receive from us containing personally identifiable financial information will take advantage of ZixCorp encryption services.

American Bank prides itself in its customer service and believes this feature will provide both safety and convenience to our customers.
 

 

Retrieving secure email
1. To retrieve your secure email from the American Bank Secure Email Message Center click the link provided in the email notification. Messages in your mailbox are deleted 14 days after they are received.
 
 
2. If this is your first time accessing the American Bank Secure Email Message Center, then you will be taken to an Account Registration screen. Enter your email address and password, then click "Register". You will use this password each time you log in.

 
 

 

 If you have already registered with the American Bank Secure Email Message Center, then you will be taken to a Sign In screen.  Enter your email address and password, then click “Sign In”.  If you have forgotten your password, click on the “Reset” button under “Forgot your password?”, and you will be asked to enter a new password which will be confirmed by a Verification Email message sent directly to your email account.
 
 

 

3. The message is viewed securely in your browser.
 
 


 

Composing Secure Email
1.
Click on the Compose tab to compose your message.  You may attach documents to the email by clicking on the Attach File button.  When you are finished composing your message, click on the Send button.  Messages created using the American Bank Secure Email Message Center are only able to be sent to addresses that end with @americanbankmn.com.  All messages will automatically be deleted 14 days after they are sent.

 


 
 
 


Always keep in mind that American Bank will never send unsolicited email containing attachments, or request personal information from customers via email or pop up windows.
